How to Spend your holiday in Malta during Summer

Malta is a small island in the center of the Mediterranean but also one of the most beautiful countries in the world, not just Europe.

Some people choose to visit Malta for a long period of time such as Students or Expats. Some decide to spend a week in this country which has a huge heritage.

In this article, we will tell you how to spend 5 days in the country after checking in one of the hotels in Malta you booked.

Museums and Heritage Sites

With Malta being renowned with many tourists as exasperating when it comes to history, the number of museums and heritage sites such as the temples shouldn’t be missed.

Across the capital of Malta, Valletta you can find the national museum of architecture which is the home of some of the most luxurious historic artifacts on the island.

The artifacts date back to the Neolithic period (5000 BC) in the country until the Phoenician period (400 BC).

While you are there, you can pick the bus for Hagar Qim, Zurrieq. Hagar Qim is the most beautiful temple of them all especially the view of the islet Filfla.

In Hagar Qim you can bow down to incredible structures from the beginning of life in the country.

With more museums and heritage sites around the country, the cost isn’t much yet the feeling of excitement is big.

Restaurants with Sea Views

Malta being covered by the sea, it’s liable to give you a stellar experience while you are eating a complete meal or a snack.

Seaside options such as Valletta, Sliema are obvious options, but there are other cities that offer the same stellar experience such as Mdina.

Mdina was the capital city of Malta and it’s known as the silent city due to its quietness during the night.

While you enjoy your meal, Malta also boasts of a number of bars and cafeterias to enjoy your time in the country with your friends, family or partner.

Shopping Malls

When people speak about traveling, there is always a hint of shopping included. Malta may not have the biggest names such as Primark and Sportsdirect but the Tigne Shopping Complex and the Baystreet Shopping Complex will fill that need.

Both complexes offer a selection from big brands to cheap clothing and a number of restaurants after you tire out of shopping if that’s even possible.

Baystreet Complex is near the party famed Paceville, which you can enjoy a drink at the biggest bars in the country.

Spend a day or….all holiday at the Beach

The Beach is what tourists come for in reality. With a spectacular summer where the sun never stops beaming bays and beaches are full of people relaxing.

There is a number of beaches but we do recommend Golden Bay. Golden Bay is found in the North of Malta and is walking distance away from another popular bay called Gnejna.

From the beginning of the day till the end of the day, you can see them full of people enjoying their time with their family, friends or partners.

If you are interested in a barbecue you can also get permission from the local council depending on certain paperwork.

You can also choose to go down to the south of the country where you will find Ghar Lapsi and Wied Iz-Zurrieq.

Both of these options offer the chance to hire a boat and go through the waters that make the south such a beautiful and breathtaking place to live in.

Final Words

We wish you all your luck in your conquest to enjoy the perfect holiday that you deserve. Malta also offers a hectic night lifestyle with a number of parties during Summer.

So pack the sunscreen and a good pair of sunglasses because you are about to feel the proper heat of the summer
